Климатическая программа
Миссия Программы — информационная поддержка региональных неправительственных организаций (НПО) по вопросам, касающимся климатического кризиса и энергетики, поддержка национальных и местных решений для декарбонизации экономики.
Программа включает общественное наблюдение климатических действий на национальном и международном уровне в области климата/энергетики и международных переговоров по климату, инициирование и продвижение межсекторного диалога по эффективным действиям для смягчения последствий изменения климата и адаптации к ним.

The international community marked Russia’s climate activism with a publication on the website of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Shortly before that, the President of Russia adopted a new decree on science and technology policy in the field of climate change. Representatives of public environmental organizations believe that Russia should take responsibility for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and support the development of non-resource sectors of the economy.
Первым серьезным климатическим событием в период «пандемийного» затишья стал инициированный американским президентом Джо Байденом Саммит, на котором более 40 мировых лидеров подтвердили планы по борьбе с климатическим кризисом. Представители общественных экологических организаций считают демонстрацию климатических намерений позитивным сигналом, но призывают страны к более амбициозным целям по снижению выбросов парниковых газов.
В аналитическом докладе представлена информация о лесах и лесном комплексе России, воздействии на них изменений климата, возможных мерах борьбы с этими изменениями и адаптации. Эти материалы предназначены для экологических активистов, занимающихся решением проблем глобального изменения климата, сохранением лесов и особо охраняемых природных территорий, устойчивым лесопользованием, лесовосстановлением и облесением. Они будут интересны и полезны преподавателям, журналистам, широкой публике.

The Center for Strategic Research in cooperation with the analytical center of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Russian Energy Agency of the Ministry of Energy prepared a report on why Russia needs a climate policy.
