What does SPARE give to schools?
The school project on application of resources and energy unites schools from 5 federal districts of Russia and is open to everyone. For more than 20 years of work, more than 800 schools have applied practical knowledge about energy and resource conservation in their buildings, in the lives of students and their families. On November 17, the coordinator of SPARE, Elena Gretchina, spoke about this at the city training webinar "Interaction of educational organizations and social partners in the implementation of environmental projects."
For example, in Lyceum № 395 of the Krasnoselsky district of St. Petersburg, thanks to the participation in the school projects competition "Energy and Environment", the luminescent lamps were partially replaced with LED lamps, and motion sensors were installed. The lyceum's team of students annually become prize-winners of the regional and all-Russian stage of the competition, apply knowledge in their lives. A video of the Lyceum experience can be viewed here.
Teachers of the Lyceum № 389 of St. Petersburg have experience of participating in all four nominations of the competition "Energy and Habitat". They developed a climate plan for the lyceum, provided many family projects for energy and resource conservation.
In the Central Federal District, schools are so active at SPARE, that the projects were designed in the form of a brochure with tips on energy-efficient heating and lighting for rural buildings - so that the best practices could be put into practice. And these are just some examples. You can find more examples in the news of the SPARE project.
The webinar was held by the Department of Environmental Pedagogy, Human Safety and Health of St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education in cooperation with the ecological and biological department of the "At the Voznesensky Bridge"house of creativity of the Admiralteisky District of St. Petersburg.
